Goals

How we envision our job being impactful and meaningful. Together with you, we spread the message of the flag on a global scale in a myriad of ways.

We envision The International Flag of Planet Earth in homes and communities. We want people to fly it proudly, no matter nationality or background.

We envision venues, organizations, institutions, etc, adopting the flag. It is to be represented, for example, at the United Nations and other multilateral unions, campuses, memorials, embassies, sport arenas and events, in major cities, little towns, and public places - across the globe - as well as featured in cultural and creative endeavors such as music videos, films, video games, etc.

We envision this flag being used as a symbol of Earth in a myriad of creative ways. This could range from small to large; from scroll-down menus when “world-wide” is an option online, to missions in outer space.

We do not see the flag as an opponent to national flags in any way. For example, the flag of the USA will still be the flag of the USA. The International Flag of Planet Earth is proposed to represent the planet. We see it as a complement to national flags.

With a wide spread of the flag, we can provide its meaning as much exposure as possible; a reminder that we share this planet.

Shift of Perspective

We are not here to create a movement bound by time, but to inspire systematic change; a new way of relating to the natural world and the life it supports.

What we do

Examples of how we serve as the awareness agency of the flag. Our job is to advance it in as many creative ways as possible.

  • Expanding our network of volunteers, ambassadors, philanthropists and individuals who care about our precious planet.

Why you donate

If you are looking to support The International Flag of Planet Earth, you are recognizing the importance of impact investments; of being part of the important work of affecting a real and lasting change in mindset and attitude toward the planet we inhabit and toward other beings. By joining arms in our work, you are willing to fight for a paradigm shift; to affect how we perceive the world; focusing on what we have in common instead of on our differences, and reminding people that we share this planet.

This type of impactful contribution also means that you are part of the important shift of leveraging the role of organizations in the nonprofit sector at large. It takes time to gain leverage, it takes time to cultivate behavioral changes, it takes time to create strong foundations, let alone enabling and empowering sustainable solutions for all the difficulties we face on this planet. In short, it takes time, and requires serious resources, to create ripple effects in the greater global community. But we are insistent, we are inspired, and we are impactful – when we join forces.

What we have in common is that we are here to serve something that is much greater than ourselves.

We are not here to create a movement bound by time, but to inspire systematic change; a new way of relating to the natural world and the life it supports.
